Saint Paraskeva Orthodox Charity is a faith based non-profit organization that provides developmental and spiritual services through a grassroots approach focusing primarily on orphaned and disabled children in Romania’s most under served communities, providing support not just on a one-time basis but through long-term relationships. Our organization operates 100% on volunteer-based work, ensuring that the entire amount of your donations is allocated to our programs that make a difference in the lives of those individuals most in need of help.
We focus our efforts on two main objectives:
- To locate and help directly children or families in critical need of support that for some reason remained unreached by other charities or media organizations.
- To corroborate our strategy with other proven Romanian charity organizations that have developed locally based successful programs in caring for abandoned, orphaned, or deprived children.
Saint Paraskeva Orthodox Charity is committed to encourage public and private participation so as to empower people to change their circumstances and their environment, by fostering sustainable community development which provides for the needs of both present and future generations. We plan to cooperate with programs designated for specific child welfare in Romania. With that goal in mind we are giving the following example:
We will help and respond without discrimination to those who are suffering and in need to enable them to continue to improve their own lives and to have means to live with dignity, respect and hope. The organization is dedicated to help members of the community and co-national Romanians that live beyond their means and do not have any other support. We plan to provide goods, services and funds to those that are medically and socially challenged living in under-served areas. Saint Paraskeva Orthodox Charity is committed to encourage public and private participation so as to empower people to change their circumstances and their environment, by fostering sustainable community development which provides for the needs of both present and future generations.
